I recently had a new patient who was involved in a rear impact auto crash. She came in about 10 days after the crash and was very surprised she was still in so much pain, and said she thought she would have been greatly improved in just a few days. Many people do not realize how much damage can be inflicted by this type of injury.  There have been several long term studies showing a high percentage of patients having symptoms 5-10 years later.
