Another article on the three papers recently published in the Lancet medical journal. They state that much of the diagnostic and treatment modalities used for back pain are not based on scientific evidence, are costly, and can be dangerous. Worldwide, disability from chronic back pain has risen more than 50 percent since 1990, and the trend is expected to continue as the number of seniors grows.
I cannot figure out why this widespread mistreatment continues. Aniyone have any ideas?
