This is a new study from the European Spine Journal which reviewed nine previous studies on patients with chronic neck pain with and without pinched nerves. It found no better results for surgery than non-surgical treatments. 
Why do insurance companies pay billions of dollars for ineffective, expensive and dangerous treatments and then always state that they need huge increases in premiums to keep up with the increasing medical costs?
